If Claudio Ranieri goes on to lead Leicester City to Premier League glory, no is going to begrudge him victory.

A likeable and gentlemanly character, the Italian is within four victories of achieving what seemed impossible just a year ago when the Foxes were bottom of the league and all set for relegation.

In a touching piece for The Players' Tribune, the manager has paid tribute to his squad of players who have taken the club to the verge of making Premier League history.

On top scorer Jamie Vardy he comments, "This is not a footballer. This is a fantastic horse. He has a need to be free out there on the pitch".

Meanwhile, energetic midfield revelation N'Golo Kante also draws Ranieri's praise as he recalls a training session where he asked the Frenchman to not run so much, saying of the player: "He was running so hard that I thought he must have a pack full of batteries hidden in his shorts. He never stopped running in training".

Plus, Ranieri also talked about the time he took the players out to go and make their own pizza.
