FutureScope, the tech event designed as a catalyst for engagement and collaboration between Ireland’s entrepreneurial community and innovative multinational companies based in Ireland, will take place in the Convention Centre Dublin on Tuesday, 31st May.
Over 1,000 people will attend; from start-ups, scale-ups, multinational companies, innovative Irish enterprise, the investment community and academia will attend the event, with over 40 companies represented by speakers or panellists on the main stage.
Dublin Business Innovation Centre (Dublin BIC), the not-for -profit start-up support agency that successfully ran Silicon Stroll, FutureScope’s predecessor event, has invited thought leaders from Ireland’s technology ecosystem to share their perspectives on evolving trends and how these trends will shape our future world, providing crucial insights to developing businesses.
As well as a strong stage presence from multinationals such as Google, Facebook, IBM, Microsoft, Accenture, Vodafone, Cisco and Ryanair, FutureScope will play host to an impressive line up of growth stage companies – those that are scaling in fast moving global environments. These start-up success stories, including Stripe, Brownbag Films, Currency Fair, Movidius, KonnectAgain and MooCall, will have a role on the main stage and on the panels which will run all day on specified verticals that will include; IoT, Fintech, Data Analytics and the Future World.

John Phelan of Dublin BIC spoke of the driving force behind FutureScope: ’ We see a strong appetite for engagement and collaboration between companies within the Irish tech ecosystem, from start-ups to multinationals. The level of demand for our Silicon Stroll event, which was set up specifically for this purpose, compelled us to scale the event in 2016. In doing so we renamed it FutureScope, expanded the format, opened it up to a larger audience and developed content across a broader spectrum of technology verticals’.
FutureScope 2016 is supported by Vodafone, Accenture, Trinity College Dublin, Maples and Calder, Investec, Enterprise Ireland, the IDA and Newstalk.
