The sequel to 'Star Wars: The Force Awakens' is returning to film in Co Kerry, according to reports.
The Irish Examiner says preparatory work is to get underway for filming on Sybil Head.
Locals have noticed security and construction of new access points to the headland.
It is understood permits had been provided for a film project in the area.
It emerged that producers behind the franchise had earmarked Ceann Sibéal as suitable for scenes in the next part of the series.
It is set to be released next year.
Sybil Head Tower was built just before 1880, as a consequence of fear of an imminent Napoleonic invasion of England - using Ireland as a back door.
The cliff there has a sheer drop of nearly 700 feet.
This comes after the director and crew of 'Star Wars: The Force Awakens' used Skellig Michael as part of that film last year.
Production designer Rick Carter stumbled across a picture of the island, which he then e-mailed to director JJ Abrams.
