Samsung has announced details of the Product Exchange Programme for Galaxy Note 7 owners. This comes after isolated battery cell issues were identified with the device on September 2nd.

"While there have been only a small number of reported incidents globally, Samsung is committed to prioritising the safety of customers. Samsung has identified the affected inventory and stopped sales and shipments of those devices," the company said in a statement.

Irish customers who have a Note 7 will be able to exchange their current device for a new one. Samsung are working on this with the help of the mobile networks.

We are encouraging customers to exchange their Galaxy Note7 by taking advantage of the Product Exchange Program.”
