It has emerged that an addiction specialist was called to treat Prince the day before he died.
Representatives of the musician contacted Dr Howard Kornfeld who runs the Recovery Without Walls drug and alcohol outpatient clinic in California.
Dr. Kornfeld was unable to go to Minneapolis straight away, but sent his medic son Andrew instead.
His lawyer William Mauzy says Andrew was one of three people who found Prince unresponsive in a lift. It is understood that Andrew was also the person who made the 911 call.
The cause of the singer's death is still unknown, and findings of a post mortem examination are yet to be released.
