A golf and spa resort in Co Cavan is going on the market for €26m.

The Radisson Farnham Golf and Spa Resort is on one of Ireland’s largest land holdings, with 1,250 acres.

It has been brought to the market by Savills on behalf of receiver Aiden Murphy, of Crowe Howarth.

The four-star hotel has welcomed guests since 2006, and includes 158 bedrooms and suites.

The hotel is said to be trading exceptionally well with further growth forecast - and is being sold with or without management agreement or franchise, as required.

Farnham Estate is 90 minutes’ drive from Dublin and two hours from both Belfast and Galway.

The hotel also provides the Botanica Restaurant and The Wine Goose Cellar Bar.

It hosted 121 weddings in 2015 and also houses conference and meeting rooms which can accommodate 380 delegates.

The 40,000 sq. ft Heinz Schletterer-designed spa includes 19 treatment rooms, sauna, aroma baths, and laconium.

The hotel also features a fully equipped gym and signature indoor/outdoor hydrotherapy infinity pool.

Farnham benefits from hundreds of acres of historic woodland, including an 18-hole Jeff Howes-designed championship golf course.

The estate also provides 7km of walking and cycling trails, as well as lakes with fresh-water fishing.

Savills adds that potential future development may also be of interest to perspective purchasers.
