Five of the lucky 22 Dublin Bus drivers who won the EuroMillions jackpot over the weekend have turned up for their usual Monday morning shift.
The members of the syndicate which scooped the €23,845,060 prize – meaning they will each earn €1,083,866.36 for themselves – were present and correct at Broadstone garage in north Dublin this morning.
Twenty of the men are senior drivers, whilst one is an inspector and one has retired.
Talking to the Irish Times, chief inspector Larry O'Brien said:
"They are senior men. I’d imagine many of them felt obliged to turn up to work.
"Some of them have 40 years service with us. They wouldn’t have made it as far as they did in Dublin Bus if they weren’t decent blokes. To a man they are a decent bunch of chaps."
