An investigation is underway into the death of man following an incident in Co Mayo over the weekend.
On Saturday, Joseph Deacy (21) of St Albans in England was discovered outside a house at Gortnasillagh, Swinford with apparent head injuries.
The alarm was raised at around 6am, and emergency services attended the scene.
Mr Deacy was taken to Mayo University Hospital following the incident.
He was later moved to Beaumont Hospital, where he was pronounced dead on Sunday evening.
A post-mortem examination was carried out, and gardaí say they are treating the death as a homicide.
The investigation is being carried out by gardaí in Claremorris.
