A man has died after a fishing accident off the County Donegal Coast.

The fisherman fell overboard from a lobster boat working off Horn Head at around 3.30pm

A search and rescue operation was then launched by the coastguard who located the man in the water.

He was airlifted to Letterkenny Hospital but lost his fight for life shortly afterwards.
