A 29-year-old man has been charged in connection with an armed robbery in Dublin.
Shortly after 1pm yesterday a man entered a shop on the South Circular Road in Rialto armed with what was believed to be a hand gun.
He threatened staff and stole a sum of money. He was observed leaving the premises and travelling down the nearby New Ireland Road.
Gardaí began a search of the area, and recovered a firearm and an amount of money.
During the search officers also spotted a man running into bushes. He was arrested and taken to Kilmainham Garda Station.
The man is due in court later this afternoon charged in connection with the robbery.
