He has met UK PM Theresa May to disuss the Brexit
Relations between the new British prime minister and US secretary of state have got off to a bumpy start.
John Kerry smacked his head on the door at number 10 Downing Street as he went to meet Theresa May.
The door was partially shut after he turned to pose for photographers before going in.
He then met Mrs May, with the UK exit from the European Union high on the agenda.
Mr Kerry says there must now be one big aim.
While it is reported Britain will not begin the process of leaving the EU this year.
A UK government lawyer has told a court hearing the first legal challenge to the withdrawal process that Article 50 will not be invoked before the end of 2016.
That challenge will be heard by the British High Court in October, and still leaves time for any potential appeals before the process begins.
