The bodies of two children and a man have been found at a house in Leicestershire in England, police have said.
Officers were called to a house in Hinckley at around 9.30pm on Tuesday following calls from residents reporting a disturbance.
Negotiators and other specialist officers arrived at the scene and made contact with a man and a woman in the house.
According to police, an injured woman was taken to hospital in the early hours of the morning and is in a stable condition.
When police entered the house, they found a man who was pronounced dead at the scene. The bodies of two children were also discovered.
Officers say that it is not yet known what caused the deaths of the three people.
Detective Chief Superintendent David Sandall of Leicestershire Police said: “A number of enquiries are now underway to understand what caused the three deaths, and the circumstances surrounding the events of last night in the house.
"Whilst we are not, at this stage, looking for anyone in connection with what happened, we would like to hear from anyone who may have information for us," he added.
