US presidential hopeful Donald Trump has announced he will not run as an independent - if he is not selected as the Republican party candidate for the White House.
The tycoon had previously refused to rule it out.
A number of rivals are vying for the Republican nomination - including George W Bush's brother Jeb.
Today Mr Trump - whose campaign has generated no shortage of controversy over the last few months - has pledged his support to the Republican Party.
“I will be totally pledging my allegiance to the Republican Party and the conservative principles for which it stands and we will go out and fight hard and we will win," Mr Trump said.
He added that there are "no circumstances under which I would tear up that pledge".
Trump's son tweeted a photo of his father signing the document:

Since announcing his presidential aspirations earlier this year, Mr Trump has been heavily criticised for his remarks on illegal immigrants crossing the Mexican border, as well as comments he has made about women on social media
He has also revealed he has the J1 student visa programme in his crosshairs if elected.
