Dave Grohl, front man for rock group the Foo Fighters today confirmed runours that they would be headlining Slane 2015.

The surprise announcement came during an interview on Rick O'Shea's 2FM show earlier today.

The band will be following their latest album Sonic Highways  with a world tour, and will play Slane on May 30th.

Tickets are expected to be on sale in the coming weeks.
