Gardaí say that have received no significant information into an ongoing appeal to identify a baby found in Dublin last year.

Baby Maria was found on the roadside in Rathcoole last May.

She will celebrate her first birthday next Friday or Saturday, according to the Irish Mirror.

The paper says a couple caring for her also have other children.

Maria was found in Steelstown inside a black plastic bag, which was inside a paper Marks and Spencer Bag.

Gardaí say the matter is the centre of an ongoing appeal for information, but they have received "nothing significant" to date.
