Meath may have collected the silverware at the end of the Christy Ring final yesterday, but a replay could be on the cards after it emerged that the game might actually have ended in a draw.

The Croke Park scoreboard indicated that the scoreline at the final whistle read, 2-18 to 1-20 in favour of Meath. Match referee John O'Brien reportedly agreed with that scoreline and was satisfied that Meath were the winners, according to the GAA.

But shortly after the game ended, some sports reporters who were covering the game, said that they recorded a draw in their notes, meaning that the game should have gone to extra-time. Some of them noticed problems with the scoreboard during the game.

It is believed that a DVD of the game was given to Antrim GAA by TG4 and that they reviewed the footage yesterday evening. If it is confirmed that Croke Park made a mistake, the Saffrons may decide to lodge an appeal.
