150 new jobs have been announced for Waterford.
The Taoiseach and the Minister for Jobs have announced plans for the new West Pharmaceutical plant in the city.
It will make packaging components for biotech and pharmaceutical customers.
Work will begin early next year on the new plant, which will be based on the Old Kilmeaden Road in Waterford.
The new plant will create 100 construction jobs initially and then approximately 150 high-end pharmaceutical jobs when completed.
Meanwhile, Brown Thomas is recruiting over 200 seasonal vacancies for the Christmas period.
The roles are across a range of roles including sales consultants, sales support, cashiers and store ambassadors on both a part-time and full-time temporary basis.
The luxury department stores are based in Dublin, Cork, Galway and Limerick.
