Have you ever thought of what it would be like to be a wheelchair user in Ireland? How difficult it might be to book a table in a restaurant that has wheelchair accessible toilets. Wheelchair users in town centres are still finding it difficult to get in and out of shops and restaurants. I visited Cork city centre and met members of the Rebel Wheelers sports club and tried to get into their shoes by using a wheelchair for the afternoon.

The Care and Mobility show, which provides a positive platform for independent living for the almost 600,000 people in Ireland with a disability (13% of total population) will showcase more than a thousand products and services which allow users to enjoy life to the fullest. The Care and Mobility Show which will take place in the RDS on 22nd and 23rd April.
