A man in his 30s has been arrested following the death of three people in County Louth.

He has been detained at a Garda Station in the north west of the Republic.

The two men and one woman, who are all from the same family, were found dead at a property in Tallanstown this morning.

Gardaí have cordoned off the property for a technical examination and the State Pathologist has been notified.

The Garda investigation is ongoing.
