At an unbelievable 272m long ,The Beast is the world’s longest bouncy castle experience for adults, and it's coming to the National Basketball Arena in Tallaght this weekend.
You can run, bounce and dance your way around a phenomenal 32 obstacles as you challenge friends to see discover who can conquer The Beast in the least amount of time.
The arena will also host DJs to blast music as you ricochet around the inflatable course, street food vendors will be serving a variety of food, and craft beer and whiskey tastings will take place. There will also be a Christmas market held within the venue, as well as a karaoke room, a human foosball game and an inflatable photo booth.
Xmas Design Market at The Bernard Shaw
This Saturday from 12-5pm, The Bernard Shaw’s regular flea market will have a Christmas vibe as local designers and artists hawk their stylish wares.
Artisan products such as handmade soaps and skincare, vintage clothes, shoes, jewellery, art, records, bric-a-brac, homewares, and music by Dublin DJs at this pet-friendly market that will be a one-stop-shop for all your last minute Christmas needs.
The neighbouring Eatyard is also on hand for street food grub such as Venezuelan arepas, bubble waffles, vegan crepes, and chicken wings - all eaten in a semi-covered shipping container area with heated seats.
The Snowman at Bord Gáis Energy Theatre
The Snowman returns to the Bord Gáis Energy Theatre this weekend for both matinee and evening performances of the popular festive tale, with tickets available from €16.
A magical concert designed for all yuletide lovers,, Raymond Briggs’s captivating film has established itself as part of the Christmas festivities for young and old, accompanied by Howard Blake’s score played live by the Irish Philharmonic Orchestra
Shay Byrne (RTÉ Radio 1’s Risin’ Time) will tell the story of James and the flying snowman as you watch the film on the big screen and embrace the festive spirit.
Christmas Sing Along at The Dublin Food Co-op
For a once-off Christmas extravaganza on Sunday evening, the popular Sing-Along-Social (a “zero-commitment choir”) is hosting a Christmas singalong in Teeling Distillery.
They want to fill the Hall of the Distillery with Christmas cheer by gathering Dublin's best worst singers together for a caterwauling Chrimbo that will celebrate the likes of East 17, Rudolph and Mariah Carey.
Doors will open at 7.30pm and we'll be singing by 8.30pm sharp, with tickets available online from €9. Prizes will be awarded to the most enthusiastic best-worst singers, so don’t be shy.
Galway
Loah is Sallay Matu Garnett, a singer songwriter of Sierra Leonean / Irish origin who grew up between Maynooth and West Africa.
While in college she collaborated with future members of the likes of Little Green Cars and Kíla, as well as singing in Trinity Orchestra’s early pop endeavours; she also contributed to Hozier’s platinum selling debut album and has performed at all the big festivals in Ireland and SXSW in America.
Loah is now embarking on an ambitious solo career, combining her unique blend of folk and soul which she calls “ArtSoul”, and her performance at Rosin Dubh this Sunday at 8pm is sure to be a riveting night of original and soulful music. Expect big things.
