Coming out in Ireland has become a less daunting prospect than it was in the past. It has to some degree become normalised and more acceptable than it was even as late as 10 years ago.

Younger people are encouraged to be open and talk about their feelings, their emotions, and their desires. But not everyone had the luxury.
