Despite what some people might say 13 proved to be a very lucky for everyone here at 'Talking Books'. Since we first started to broadcast at the start of the summer our weeks have been filled with excitement and joy as we look forward to each coming Sunday. Over the past months we have had such an enjoyable time broadcasting to you all and would just like to take this time to thank you for making 2013 so special.
In celebration of our first year going so well we have decided to revisit two of our best interviews. We would be delighted if you would join us this Sunday at 7am as we look back on Susan's interviews with Eavan Boland and Nuruddin Farah.
Listen back as Eavan Boland takes us down the beautiful path of poetry and tells us what her life was like as she forged her identity as one of Ireland's greatest writers and composers of verse. Then join us as Nuruddin Farah takes us on an illuminating journey into the heart of Somalia as he and Susan discuss his life and works and his latest book Crossbones.
Thank you all again for making 2013 such a great year. We hope you all had a wonderful Christmas and that you will join us as we try to make 2014 a wonderful and exciting year. Happy New Year from everyone at 'Talking Books'. Athbhliain faoi mhaise daoibh go leir.
