This week saw Ireland’s first conviction for coercive control by a trial when a jury convicted a 52 year old Dublin man under the 2018 Domestic Violence Act.

But does this landmark case mark a change in Irish culture, and will it encourage more women suffering coercive control to come forward? 

Susan Keogh was joined by Katie Dawson, barrister at law and a member of the Family Lawyers Association of Ireland.
