Dr Tony Holohan has expressed "genuine concern" regarding a new variant of Covid-19, known as B.1617.2 and its transmissibility within the population.

To discuss how the new variant has impacted the situation in the UK, Susan was joined by Zubaida Haque, member of the UK’s Independent Scientific Advisory Group for Emergencies, better known as Independent Sage.
