Ireland are gearing up for a potentially historic Women's Six Nations clash with Scotland next week, with 20,000 tickets already sold for the final-round game at the Aviva Stadium. 

In nearly four decades since the first teams began to take to the field, the story of women’s rugby in Ireland has been one of twists and turns, of a long, long journey (in more ways than one), and some very tough days.
