Ukraine is facing a dangerous combination of an intensifying Russian assault and growing political tensions in Kyiv. The former defence minister Mykhailo Fedorov has called for elections despite the continuing war, while president Volodymyr Zelenskyy faces questions over his leadership, corruption, and the future direction of the country.
