When an airline collapses, most of us think of cancelled flights, stranded passengers, and the thousands of jobs lost. But behind the scenes there is an enormously complex operation that almost no one sees... recovering an entire fleet of aircraft worth billions of euros, scattered across airports thousands of miles apart.

One Irish company, based in Shannon found itself at the centre of one of the biggest aviation collapses since pan am and eastern in 1991. Six West was tasked with locating and recovering almost 180 aircrafts.

Matthew Gee, the chief operating officer for Six West Aviation is joins Pat to explain how they moved an entire airlines fleet when the airline ceased operation.
