The science of Olympic swimwear. From wool ‘costumes’ to tensoelastic race suits. When swimmers from around the world dive off of blocks into the pool at Paris’ Aquatics Centre beginning on July 27 and into the Seine River on August 8 and 9, they’ll be competing in suits that are a far cry from the last time the City of Lights hosted the Olympics 100 years ago.
