Yesterday at an Oireachtas Joint Committee on Health, the Department of Health and the National Paediatric Hospital Development Board announced that the National Children’s Hospital will be delayed 14 months. While the Department of Health admitted that cost was a concern, they also commented that it would be ‘detrimental’ to speculate on cost. In reaction to this Jonathan was joined on the show this morning by Dr Roisín Healy Former Consultant in Emergency Paediatrics in Crumlin hospital and also Carmel Doyle – CEO of Jack and Jill children’s Foundation.
