"One cigarette butt contaminates 200 litres of ground water"

Walking around the capital and despite Dublin City Council and businesses doing their best, the streets are littered with used cigarette butts. At bus stops, outside pubs and shopping centres.

New research by IBAL (Irish Business Against Litter) shows one cigarette butt can contaminate 200 litres of ground water. Despite this smokers are flicking their fags into drains. Henry McKean met smokers on the streets of Dublin and asked how do we change peoples behaviour.
