A protest is planned to take place in Newbridge in Co Kildare this weekend over proposals to build modular homes for Ukrainian refugees in the town.

It’s understood 30 modular homes will be built in the Lakeside, Highfield and Dara Park areas. Residents there say there has been no consultation.
