New research suggests there is a striking generational divide in how Irish people view turning 50.

Almost six in ten young adults believing that by 49, someone's most exciting years are largely behind them.  

But among those aged 45 and over, the overwhelming majority say their best years are still ahead, with confidence, ambition and a desire for new experiences actually increasing with age.
