Low pay, poor working conditions and the inability to patrol our own seas and airspace, means that the Irish Defence Forces are in bad shape. At least that's what Tom Clonan, security specialist and a retired Captain thinks. We spoke to Tom this morning to find out more about what needs to change and why the defence forces are so important.
