Concerns have been raised about the future of the Irish language, with people in the West Donegal Gaeltacht saying if there isn't investment pumped into the area, then the Irish language could soon disappear.

Areas like Gweedore in Co Donegal have been decimated by emigration, business closures and job losses over the last ten years.

And with people from the area now living in places like London, Australia or Dubai; and bringing their children up as English speakers, there has been an alarming decline in the number of native speakers.
