The International Grand Committee of Fake News and Disinformation is holding a hearing in the Seanad today.
It is in the hope that parliamentarians across nine countries can agree a set of principles for regulating harmful content and hate speech, and indeed combating ‘fake news’.
Someone who has been at the hearings as an observer today is Liz Carolan, executive director of Digital Action.
