A special panel from across the EU has brought together young people and experts to give recommendations on child safety measures. One of the things noted in the report was that “While age restrictions for access to social media and other digital services have been met with criticism, they may be a necessary precautionary step”. President Ursula Von Der Leyen also said they are examining a phased approach based on age.
