Meat Loaf’s family announced his death this morning on Facebook, the star had sold over 100 million records, best known for Bat out of Hell, I’d Do Anything for Love and films like the Rocky Horror Picture Show and Fight Club. But it’s here in Ireland in the county Westmeath where he is best remembered for a concert in the local Moate community Centre which is now a covid vaccination centre. Like a bat out of hell Henry McKean travelled to Moate.
