An Extension Rebellion Ireland protest took place today in Dublin’s City Centre, highlighting the danger posed by climate change.

Up to a reported 1,000 people appeared in solidarity with similar protests around the world, where protests have caused major disruption and hundreds of arrests.

So will it have the desired effect?

Ciaran Cuffe, Green Party councillor and MEP candidate joined Susan Keogh is studio after the protest, and told her why these protests should make a difference, and tell the Government that action is needed now on climate change.
