State-owned postal company An Post has seen its profits surge to €41 million after the closures of post offices and the sale of its stake in the One4All gift voucher operation.  However, The Irish Postmasters Union have called for a major expansion of public services provided through the network after expressing concern about the future of post offices across the country this weekend at their General Conference.

Well, to discuss the profits at An Post and the future of the network, Ivan spoke with David McRedmond, the CEO of An Post.
