Cardinal George Pell has been officially found guilty of sexual abuse after a trial in Melbourne.

The verdict had originally been given in December, but a suppression order had meant it couldn’t be reported on until now.

Today it was lifted, and that footage you heard there included reaction from masses outside the court as Pell left today.

Pell was once the third most powerful man in the Vatican and Australia’s most senior Catholic.

To discuss, Ivan was joined by a man who knows him, an Irish priest who has lived in Australia for many years - Father Brendan Purcell.
