Several people have died and more than three million acres have burned in California wildfires. Washington and Oregon are also suffering from blazes spreading at an astonishing rate.

Although fires are common across these areas in the US, this year has been one of the worst.

Jarami Bond is a local resident, photographer and videographer in San Francisco who captured the devastating scenes of thick smoke and orange skies across the state. He joined Kieran Cuddihy to share his experience.
