The relocation of the National Maternity Hospital from Holles Street to the grounds of St Vincent’s Hospital has been approved by Cabinet. Reports have suggested that the Government moved to clarify the phrase “clinically appropriate” in a memo which was approved by ministers this morning. Peter Boylan, former Master of the National Maternity Hospital and Lisa Chambers, who is Fianna Fáil’s leader in the Seanad joined Anton to discuss on going fears and concerns over the possibility of a religious ethos within the hospital.
