Later this week is International Men’s Day - an opportunity to show goodwill towards the men in your life.

Now, Safe Ireland, separately, recently released its latest report, citing over 3,000 women who have contacted domestic violence services.

And while the plight of women is real and awful, we also wanted to address the plight of men, as there has also been an uptick in men availing of domestic violence services during the Covid pandemic.

Kathrina Bentley is the CEO of Mens Aid, and she joined Kieran on Tuesday's edition of The Hard Shoulder.

With her was ‘John’, a victim of domestic abuse, who told of the struggles he had been through.
