The government are also now calling on members of the public to confront individuals who are not taking Covid-19 seriously.

A further 39 people who tested positive for Covid 19 have died, bringing the total number of confirmed deaths in England to 167.

The number of coronavirus cases in Germany and Spain have risen by nearly 3,000 in each country overnight.
