An Oireachtas Committee on Environment and Climate Action was held today on the importance of biodiversity loss across Ireland. Praising farmers for the work they have done to maintain a healthy environment were one of the topics mentioned by Dr Aoibhinn Ni Shúilleabháin.  

Yet many changes still need to be made to maintain Ireland’s biodiversity and reduce the risk of extinction.
