A smoking ban has been introduced on beaches around Barcelona.
It follows a pilot programme last year and came into force on July 1st.
The aim is to protect the environment and create a clean unpolluted space.
We sent Newstalk reporter Josh Crosbie to Co Wicklow, to see if beach goers would be up for such a move in Ireland.
