A 109-year-old wedding dress belonging to an Irish nun has found a new home on display in an antique pram shop in Wicklow.
The dress belonged to Sister Theodora (Mary Carroll) who was from Wexford, but went to England at the age of 12 to become a nun. The dress and accompanying shawl were made for her by other nuns after she was officially professed a nun and became a bride of Christ.
The dress was constructed during the War. It was crocheted using hair pins and a silk thread.
