Professor Luke Clancy from the Tobacco Free Research Institute said more people have died in the last year from smoking related diseases (7,000) than Covid (4,000). He is calling on smoking areas to be removed from pubs and restaurants and follow Oxfordshire and ban smoking in beer gardens altogether.
