Jeremy Zanni, his partner Melanie and their nine year old son Finn were lucky to escape not one, but two fires one day after the other in their thatched cottage in Glenamaddy last month.

However, the damage to their 300 year old home would have run into thousands in euros in costs, and would have given them a huge financial headache as they had no house insurance.

Rather than see their neighbours homeless, the community rallied around the family and have re-built the house for free.

Jeremy spoke with Sean Moncrieff about the heartwarming story.
