How sustainable is the free travel scheme? That is something that has been brought into question after the number of journeys taken by pass holders jumped by 16% in the last year. Fianna Fáil transport spokesman Marc MacSharry said we should look at the scheme closely to ensure that an unfair burden was not being placed on transport companies or fare-paying passengers.
